Audio Memos Pro App Reviews

I really love this app but, after the most recent update, when I play my recordings, I cant hear them without earbuds. I used to be able to just hit play and the recording would be audible loudly from my iPhone speakers so that others can hear. Bummer!

I like the abilities to trim and add bookmarks, but unfortunately, the sound quality is poor.

This is an app that gives more than expected. I especially like the adjustable input gain and the ability to append to a recording at any time. The app has frozen a couple times when exiting and returning to the app while recording. It is also now crashing when I click on Progresses in the Info section. This is probably due to failed uploads (wrong FTP server info). I dont know how to clear the failed uploads since it crashes before showing any uploads in progress. Heres something very cool. With AudioMemos, I can simultaneously record my voice and a simple keyboard part (using Virtuouso Piano app). Handy way to capture a song idea.

Especially portraits.

Really like this app. Very easy to use and to send files. I do need to learn how to edit the recordings but Im sure it can be done.

Please add the option of having time stamps (date and time) to markers. This would make it a 5 star app for me.

Ive never seen this happen before! At the end of playback The app crashes the phone. This is different from just the app crashing, it crashes the whole phone! This was my go-to app for AudioMemos. I hate to find a new one, but this update renders the app completely unusable.

Great sound quality. I tell my children stories every night and record them. When I am too tired to tell a story I replay stories I have recorded on this app from the past. The sound is great. We love this app!!!

this is one of my most important business applications. ive dictated hundreds of memos saving me many hours of time. fortunately I have great administrative help that tolerates listening to my voice. nothing is worse than putting important information in an audio memo, thinking that you really accomplished something and then finding that your information got lost or overwritten. i use to have a lot of frustrating problems with this. I continue to lose information every now and then but I just have to be very careful like looking at the screen frequently to make sure its still keeping up with me. That is the only thing keeping me from giving it five stars. I think its a great application overall.

App works well with close up recording. 1. I have not tested it yet in a lecture hall. 2. E-mailed a test sample to my self. Poor quality could hardly hear it. 3. Can only send 15MB e-mail. There is no way you can send a one hour or more conference meeting or lecture to anyone. For $9.99 you would think it had better performance. I have IPad 1, with internal hardware microphone using Audio Memos v.4.02 If there is a later version I would like to have the update.

Be prepared to lose long recordings-in-progress if you get a FaceTime call in the middle. I suspect this is true with other modal notifications as well (eg alarm clock). This has to do with the fact that the audio only gets compressed down to a file after recording stops. PS To make emailing easier record at low quality -- not a big deal if the sound is speech only.

This app used to be one of my favorites. As a student i read my class notes out loud and record them so i can listen to them while i am driving o r just doing stuff out of my house. To me this app was a very useful study tool, now is terrible. The appication crashes CONSTANTLY and messes up my recordings.

Suggested to me by an organizational firm to help get all the junk out of my head and save it for later filing and actions. Tried several others and they are no where near as good or user friendly!!! I highly recommend.

Ive tried several similar apps, and this is the best one Ive found. The recording quality is excellent, and loaded with awesome features.

I purchased this to record lectures at an important seminar I was attending. After the first 2 lectures were improperly deleted by the app when I ended the recording, I went with a different solution. I thought I had made a mistake with the first one...but paid close attention during the second. After pausing the recording, then clicking done...the recording simply vanished. Dont buy this app if your recordings are important to you.

I lost my recordings of multiple hours. You cant undo any of your mistakes. Please fix this. Please have double or triple check on things to be erased forever. Even the trash please do not erase with one button touch. Have the action confirmed just in case you touched by mistake like I did. If you make this changes my review will change immediately. Looking foreword to it.

Ive been using this App in school for about 3 years and through the updates (regular) & just plain solidness/robustness of this program, I can review lectures, etc. with ease. If you need an audio record of what takes place around you, a better App would be hard to find. I bought all upgrades immediately, & use it on my i5 (not S) & iPad 3 & even my old iPod (ios6). Works wonderfully on all iDevices!

As Secretary for a nonprofit arts organization, one of my duties is to take board meeting minutes. Ive used AudioMemos for that purpose since the application was first released. The longer I use it, the better it becomes. The developers do a good job listening to customer concerns and helping solve issues. They also have fixed many of the bugs that plagued the app in the beginning. If I was to ask for one feature, it would be to have the ability to view pdf documents in iBook while a recording is in progress. As it stands now, when a document is opened, the recording is interrupted. However, this could be the result of my first gen iPad, rather the the AudioMemos app. Keep up the good work! Ive had the benefit of being able to peruse at lot of applications for my iPad online. And to be honest a good percentage of them are well thought out and very useful. But this application bar none has exceeded my expectations when it comes to vocal transcription of meetings, conversations or just its use as a vocal stenographer. I can say beyond all doubt that if you require an utility that offers the same set of useful capabilities and you do not check this one out you will be doing yourself and your efforts a great disservice.
